Do you or someone you know need some form of assistance during emergencies or disaster events?

The State of Texas offers the option to register with the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR) program. Dial 2-1-1 and register if you may need help evacuating.

The STEAR program is for people with disabilities and people with access and functional needs. This registry provides local emergency planners and emergency responders with information about members of their community that may need help with evacuations.

All the information you provide will be kept completely confidential. Registering for STEAR does not guarantee any services, so you should still make plans for what you will do in the event of an evacuation.

STEAR requires a new registration every year, so if you have not renewed your registration for 2020, do so before an emergency event.
