(FEMA) When a FEMA inspector comes out to a survivors home and can verify disaster caused damage, a survivor may be eligible for our program that's called Serious Needs Assistance. If a survivor states that they have emergency needs due to a disaster, if they need shelter or if they have been displaced from their home, they may be able to use those funds for essential items like food, water, and fuel for transportation as well.
